BRUNO BAER
Bruno is a Finnish actor based in Helsinki, Finland. His spark for the performing arts ignited in early childhood through dance, as he trained in classical ballet and contemporary. During high school, Bruno’s interest gradually shifted from dance to acting when he auditioned for Ulla Heikkilä’s feature film EDEN, landing one of the film’s leading roles in 2020. This experience marked a turning point, leading him to fully commit to acting. Since then, Bruno has worked steadily in film and television. Shortly after Eden, in 2022, he made his television debut in a leading role in Inari Niemi’s series MY HUSBAND’S WIFE. He has since appeared in several supporting roles in films and television series by some of Finland’s leading directors, including: KARKURIT (dir. Saara Cantell); GIRL PICTURE (dir. Alli Haapasalo); PARATIISI (dir. Marja Pyykkö); LIGHT LIGHT LIGHT (dir. Inari Niemi); and CONFLICT (dir. Aku Louhimies). Bruno has also continued his collaboration with director Ulla Heikkilä, most recently starring in one of the leading roles in her second feature film SUMMER IS CRAZY, which premiered in September 2025. In addition to screen acting, Bruno has a strong interest in stage work. Between 2022 and 2023, he appeared in a supporting role in the Finnish National Theatre’s production of Tritonus by Kjell Westö, directed by Johanna Freundlich. Since August 2025, Bruno has been studying in the Bachelor’s and Master’s Degree Programme in Acting at the Theatre Academy of Helsinki.
