IVAN YANKOVSKIY
Ivan began his journey in the performing arts at a young age, making his film debut at just 10 years of age in COME LOOK AT ME. He hails from a distinguished family in the arts - his father is actor and director Filipp Yankovsky, and his grandfather was the renowned actor Oleg Yankovsky. He studied at the Moscow International Film School and graduated from GITIS (Russian Academy of Theatre Arts) in 2013, where he focused on acting and directing under the mentorship of Sergey Zhenovach. Ivan gained widespread recognition for his role as ‘Andrei Kalyaev’ in the 2008 film INDIGO, which centred on individuals with superpowers. His work on the feature film RAG UNION solidified his status as a talented actor, earning him the Best Actor award at Kinotavr Film Festival. He has also starred in notable projects such as: GUARDIANS OF THE NIGHT; THE QUEEN OF SPADES; TOPI; and the psychological thriller TEXT, which was directed by Klim Shipenko. Ivan’s more recent work includes the hit television series THE BOY'S WORD: BLOOD ON THE ASPHALT; and the film THE WORLD CHAMPION in which Ivan portrayed the Soviet grandmaster Anatoliy Karpov.
