JONAS STRAND GRAVLI

 

Jonas Strand Gravli is a Norwegian actor who has gained international recognition for his diverse performances in both film and television since graduating from The National Academy of Dramatic Arts in Oslo. His breakthrough leading role came as ‘Viljar Hanssen’ in the 2018 feature film 22 JULY directed by the acclaimed British filmmaker Paul Greengrass. In 2020, Jonas secured one of the principle roles in Netflix's global hit television series RAGNAROK which aired for three successful seasons until 2023. He also made notable appearances in: the Netflix feature CHRISTMAS AS USUAL; starring in Viaplay’s WISTING; NRK's JORDBRUKERNE as ‘Tariq’; as well as the series FENRIS. Looking forward, Jonas can next be seen as ‘Rob’ in the upcoming Dutch TV series THIS IS GONNA BE GREAT. His other upcoming projects include roles in the British short film ELSA by emerging director Rebekka King, and the arthouse feature film THE FISHING PLACE by American director and cinematographer Rob Tregenza. Jonas plays ‘Axel Jensen’ in the upcoming series based on Leonard Cohen, SO LONG MARIANNE, which is scheduled to premiere in late 2024.
