KAYA TOFT LOHOLT
Kaya Toft Loholt made her screen debut in Denmark’s first Netflix original series, THE RAIN. Following that, she starred in the lead role of ‘Emma’ in Malou Reymann’s feature A PERFECTLY NORMAL FAMILY, which was widely seen internationally and won multiple awards in Denmark and abroad. Kaya became the youngest ever recipient of the Bodil Award for Best Leading Actress, presented by the Danish Film Critics Association, and also won the Jury Prize for Best Actress at the Riviera International Film Festival for this performance. On television, Kaya has appeared in several recurring roles, including in the DR1 Sunday drama WHEN THE DUST SETTLES, and as a deaf character in the 24-episode Christmas miniseries JULEFEBER (CHRISTMAS FEVER). She also plays ‘Young Kirsten’ in CARMEN CURLERS (Seasons 1–3). In her television work, Kaya has collaborated with many directors from Denmark and other Nordic countries. In her latest role, Kaya stars as ‘Fanny’ in Sylvia Le Fanu’s feature film MY ETERNAL SUMMER, which has garnered recognition and awards at festivals across Europe.
