MARIA SHTOFA

 

Maria is originally from Ukraine, and is a graduate of the National University for Theatre and Cinema Acting in Kyiv. She performed for several years with the Ukrainian National Theatre, before starring in her first feature film RHINO. Directed by by Oleg Sentsov, it went on to win multiple awards on the international film festival circuit. Maria’s other previous work includes the fantasy feature film MYRNYI-21 by Akhtem Seitablaev, and an upcoming Polish feature directed by Maciej Slesicki & Filip Hillesland, in which she plays a leading role. Her television work includes: the German comedy series LOVE ADDICTS for Amazon; TOPTUN; and the mini-series HIMMEL UND ERD, in which she played the role of ‘Jaroslava’. Recently, Maria has been working on a theatre-dance project inspired by Argentinean folk dance. She is trained in contemporary, modern, folk and ballet dance, with a background in rhythmic gymnastics and painting.
