ERNESTO D'ARGENIO
Ernesto D'Argenio is an Italian actor who was born in Milan. He left Italy at age 19, and travelled extensively around the world working as a sommelier. Upon his return, he decided to settle in Rome where he began working in the theatre. He studied acting at the Gian Maria Volonté School of Cinema and graduated in 2013. That same year, he was cast as ‘Marcello Mastroianni’ in Maestro Ettore Scola’s HOW STRANGE TO BE NAMED FEDERICO, a film dedicated to the acclaimed Italian filmmaker Federico Fellini, which premiered at the 70th Venice Film Festival. In 2014, Ernesto joined the cast of the popular Italian television series ANTIMAFIA SQUAD, where he became known for his portrayal of the mafioso ‘Saro Ragno’. His other credits include: the role of ‘Italo Pierron’ in the crime series ROCCO SCHIAVONE which was set in the Italian Alps; Roberto Andò's thriller THE CONFESSIONS opposite Toni Servillo, Daniel Auteuil, and Connie Nielsen; and as ‘Daniele Galli’ in the crime drama THOU SHALT NOT KILL. Ernesto can next be seen in the Netflix series BRIGANDS, a historical drama which is based in mid-19th century southern Italy, and which is directed by Steve Saint Leger.
