JAKUB GIERSZAŁ
Jakub was a 2012 Shooting Star, chosen for his stunning performance as the sexually conflicted ‘Dominik’ in Jan Komasa’s film SUICIDE ROOM. He is one of Poland’s most sought-after leading actors and was named amongst Variety’s Top 10 actors to watch. His previous credits include: DRACULA UNTOLD, directed by Gary Shore; MORRIS FROM AMERICA; FINSTERWORLD by Frauke Finsterwalder; Agnieszka Holland’s SPOOR; THE LURE; in Maciej Sobieszczański’s THE RECONCILIATION; and BEYOND WORDS directed by Urszula Antoniak. Jakub received widespread critical acclaim for his performance as ‘Jerzy Górski’ in BREAKING THE LIMITS, which earned him the Best Actor Award at the Polish Film Festival. His recent work includes the role of ‘Schmidt’ in DAS BOOT for Sky; the leading role of ‘Lucek’ in Anna Sofie Hartmann’s feature film drama GIRAFFE; as ‘Antos’ in THE GETAWAY KING directed by Mateusz Rakowicz; VAMOS A LA PLAYA by Bettina Blümner; and as ‘Motyl’ in the drama film ZADRA by Grzegorz Molda. He also plays the lead role of ‘Piotr Langer Jr.’ in the series LANGER, directed by Łukasz Palkowski, and stars in the feature film GORKY RESORT.
