Alina Serban wins Best Actress Award for "Alone at my Wedding"

Alina Serban has been awarded the Best Actress prize at this year’s International Women Festival of Salé (FIFFS), for her performance in “Alone at my Wedding” (Seule à mon Mariage).

Written and directed by Martha Bergman, “Alone at my Wedding” tells the story of Alina’s character ‘Pamela’ as she embarks on a journey into the unknown, breaking away from the traditions that suffocate her, and sees her trying to build a better life for both herself, and her daughter. The film also starts Tom Vermeir, and premiered at this year’s Cannes Film Festival.
