Maryana Spivak stars in new TV drama "Cipher"

Set in 1950's Moscow, "Cipher" is a new multi-part television crime drama starring Maryana Spivak, and tells the story of a group of courageous women who use their unique skills to bring criminal groups to justice in Soviet Russia.

"Post-war difficulties and a shortage of food served as fertile soil for the flourishing of robbery and banditry. The heroines of the series, former collaborators of the Main Intelligence Directorate, have been in the ranks of the investigative authorities for many years. Their task is to expose especially dangerous and powerful criminal groups that threaten the safety of peaceful Soviet citizens."

The show also stars Hana Osipova, Ekaterina Vilkova, and Elena Panova, and will air this autumn.
