TWO PROSECUTORS in competition at Cannes

We are proud to announce that TWO PROSECUTORS starring Aleksandr Kuznetsov will run in competition at this year’s Cannes Film Festival. Directed by Sergei Loznitsa, and based on a novel by Georgy Demidov, the film focuses on a young prosecutor who sets out to challenge the system during Stalin’s Great Terror in 1937 after discovering a letter from a prisoner that is a desperate plea for help. The film marks Loznitsa’s return to fiction after several acclaimed documentaries, including THE INVASION which previously played at the festival. The production is led by SBS Productions and Loznitsa’s Atoms & Void. The 78th Cannes Film Festival will take place from May 13 to May 24, 2025, and will be hosted at the Palais des Festivals et des Congrès, with Juliette Binoche serving as the President of the Jury and Laurent Lafitte as the Master of Ceremonies.(Photo: Andrejs Strokins - SBS Productions)
