I MATTER to screen in Venice

Huge congratulations to Alina Serban, whose feature directorial debut, I MATTER, which she also wrote, will have its world premiere in the Venezia Spotlight section of the 83rd Venice International Film Festival. The film tells the story of Rebeca, a young Roma girl facing expulsion from her orphanage. She hopes her father’s release from prison will reunite them, unaware of the challenges of growing up that await her. The Venice International Film Festival runs from 2–12 September 2026.
