Mimosa's breakthrough performance was in Antti Heikki Pesonen’s "Headfirst". The film’s success brought Mimosa to the attention of mainstream audiences, and also delivered her first Jussi Award for Best Supporting Actress at the Finnish Film Academy. Since then, Mimosa has been considered one of Finland's most exceptional young talents, and has worked consistently in numerous film and TV productions. In 2016, Mimosa was nominated for another Jussi Award (Best Actress) for her role in Taneli Mustonen’s BODOM. Mimosa played the lead role in AURORA, the debut feature film by Miia Tervo. The film was the opening title at Göteborg Film Festival, and has been in several international festivals, including SXSW, Seattle International Film Festival, and the Edinburgh Film Festival - where it won the Best International Film prize. Mimosa’s astonishing performance as a young troubled party-girl from Lapland, has gained her widespread attention, and earned her the Best Actress Award at the Finnish Academy Awards (Juusi Awards). Mimosa’s recent work includes: the lead role of 'Inspector Mariana Hermansson' in the Swedish crime-drama series BOX 21; as ‘Henna Honkasuo’ in the Netflix series DEADWIND; PERTSA & KILU directed by Taavi Vartia; and the lead role of ‘Onerva’ in Mikael Syrjälä’s romantic feature film SOMEBODY SHOULD DO SOMETHING. Mimosa stars as ‘Aino’ in the hugely successful action war film SISU, directed by Jalmari Helander.
