RAYMOND THIRY

 

Raymond Thiry is a magnificent Dutch actor who has more than 60 films under his belt. Between 2007 and 2016 he has been nominated for a Golden Calf and Rembrandt Award a record 7 times, winning in 2008 for his performance as ‘Johan’ in WINTER IN WARTIME. In 2016, he played the role of ‘Jakub’ in John Stephenson’s INTERLUDE IN PRAGUE, ‘Sacha Weems’ in BLACK TULIP and ‘Reibek’ in the comedy sci-fi series, MISSION EARTH. Recent credits include Stephen de Jong’s thriller, SPAAK, THE CONDUCTOR, and as ‘Simon’ in MY FOOLISH HEART, a new film about the life of Chet Baker by Rolf van Eijk. Raymond played role of ‘Van den Berg’ in THE RESISTANCE BANKER, which has been chosen as The Netherland’s submission for the 2019 Best Foreign-Language Film Oscar, and won 5 Gold Calf Awards.
