SANDRA GULDBERG KAMPP

 

Sandra was born in Svendborg on Fyn in Denmark. Having attended youth theatre, she auditioned and successfully landed the leading role in the feature film WILDLAND. Directed by Jeanette Nordahl, and written by Ingeborg Topsøe, it was screened at the Berlin International Film Festival, where it received its world premiere in the Panorama section. Sandra’s superb central performance as teenage orphan ‘Ida’ garnered her significant critical acclaim, including from Variety, which referred to her as a “simmering presence”. She was nominated for a Bodil Award for Best Actress in a Leading Role for her performance in the film. Sandra played the role of ‘Mathilde’ in the third and final season of the Netflix drama THE RAIN. She was in two short films which made the official selection at Cannes Film Festival - the Danish short film INHERENT which was chosen for International Critic's Week; and IN THE SOIL, which was in competition for the Short Film Palme d'Or. Other recent work includes the role of ‘Nadia’ in Lone Scherfig’s THE SHIFT. Sandra can next be seen in the sci-fi feature ELECTRIC CHILD by Simon Jaquemet which will premiere at Locarno; and she plays the major recurring role of ‘Thalis’ in Apple+’s epic sci-fi drama FOUNDATION, which has been adapted for the screen by showrunner & writer David S. Goyer.
