DARYA EKAMASOVA

 

After training at GITIS, Darya Ekamasova’s film breakthrough came when she played ‘Chicholina’, a homeless teenager in SPARTAK AND KALSHNIKOV, which marked her out as a special talent. She starred in several films, such as FREE FLOATING, SPLIT and GAMES OF MOTHS, but it was her performance in THERE ONCE LIVED A SIMPLE WOMAN, that gained her notoriety and numerous awards. She won a Chopard Best Actress Award in 2016 and notably played the lead in ALINA by Ben Barenholtz. Darya played the regular character 'Sofia Kovalenko' in FX's Golden Globe winning series THE AMERICANS. She can next be seen in the feature film GIVE ME LIBERTY, directed by Kirill Mikhanovsky.
