Richard Sammel completes filming on "The Name of the Rose"

Richard Sammel has completed filming the role of 'Malachia' in the television adaptation of "The Name of the Rose".

Directed by Giacomo Battiato, and based on the acclaimed novel by Umberto Eco, the international cast also includes John Turturro (Barton Fink, O Brother, Where Art Thou?), Rupert Everett (My Best Friend's Wedding), and Sebastian Koch (The Lives Of Others). 

Filming took place in Italy, including at the historic Cinecittà Studios in Rome, and the eight part series will be broadcast internationally in 2019.
