Jasper Pääkkönen to reteam with Spike Lee for "Da 5 Bloods"

Jasper Pääkkönen has been cast in the feature film “Da 5 Bloods”, which will be directed by Spike Lee for Netflix. Lee previously directed Jasper in the Oscar-winning “BlacKkKlansman”.

“Da 5 Bloods” follows four African-American veterans who return to Vietnam to search for the remains of their fallen squad leader, and the promise of buried treasure. They battle forces of man and nature as they’re confronted by the lasting ravages of the immorality of the Vietnam War.

Other cast includes “The Wire” alums Clarke Peters, and Isiah Whitlock Jr., along with Norm Lewis, Mélanie Thierry, Delroy Lindo, Chadwick Boseman, Jonathan Majors, Jean Reno, and Paul Walter Hauser.

Filming will commence shortly, with “Da 5 Bloods” marking Netflix’s fourth collaboration with Lee.
