TELL EVERYONE heads to Göteborg Film Festival

TELL EVERYONE (Kerro Kaikille) which stars Marketta Tikkanen and Aamu Milonoff has been selected for the prestigious Göteborg Film Festival’s Nordic Competition, where it will compete for the Dragon Award Best Nordic Film. In addition to the main prize, actress Marketta Tikkanen has been nominated for the Dragon Award Best Acting. The film’s cinematographer Jarmo Kiuru is also nominated for the Sven Nykvist Cinematography Award.

The Dragon Award Best Nordic Film is one of the world’s largest film awards — the winning film receives a cash prize of 400,000 SEK. The most significant international film festival in the Nordic countries will take place in Sweden from 23 January to 1 February 2026.

“I’ve had the opportunity to perform the role of a lifetime alongside artists I admire. I’m proud to be part of this important film, and I’m delighted that it is receiving such recognition. It is high time that these women from our history have their stories brought to the big screen, and my aim has been to honor them through the character of Amanda,” says lead actress Marketta Tikkanen.

Tell Everyone will have its world premiere only a few weeks after being completed, so its independent life is beginning at an unusually fast pace — and that’s wonderful! The Göteborg Film Festival is an inspiring event, and on my previous visits I’ve been energized by its spirit. It is a great honor to be included in the competition section of this remarkable festival,” says director Alli Haapasalo.

The film will have its world premiere at the Göteborg Film Festival on Wednesday, 28 January 2026, and its international sales are handled by Level K.

Tell Everyone is a Finnish film directed by Alli Haapasalo and based on a screenplay by Katja Kallio. The film stars Marketta Tikkanen, with supporting roles by Krista Kosonen, Jakob Öhrman, Alma Pöysti, Aamu Milonoff, Noora Dadu, Fanni Noroila, Tiina Weckström, Wilma Melasniemi, Terhi Suorlahti, and Inke Koskinen.

Tell Everyone is a powerful story about Amanda Aaltonen, who refuses to submit to the bleak fate reserved for a poor woman and instead boldly pursues happiness out in the world. As punishment for breaking the rules, society takes from her what is most precious — her freedom — and confines her to the island of Seili.

The film is based on Katja Kallio’s novel Yön kantaja, produced by Teea Hyytiä with associate producer Suvi Soitinaho for Helsinki-filmi Oy.

TELL EVERYONE will premiere in Finland in autumn 2026.
