"BlacKkKlansman" starring Jasper Pääkkönen nominated for 6 Oscars & 5 BAFTA Awards
Spike Lee’s “BlacKkKlansman” starring Jasper Pääkkönen has been nominated for no less than 6 Oscars, including Best Picture, and Best Director, and 5 BAFTA awards including Best Film, & Best Direction.
The film, which won the Grand Prix at Cannes last year, and which marks a return to form for director Spike Lee, sees Jasper playing the role of ‘Felix Kendrickson’.
Academy Award nominations include: Best Picture, Best Director for Spike Lee, Best Supporting Actor for Adam Driver, Best Adapted Screenplay, Best Original Score, & Best Film Editing.
It was also nominated in the following categories at the BAFTAs: Best Film, Best Direction for Spike Lee, Best Film Music award, Best Adapted Screenplay, and Best Supporting Actor for Adam Driver (Star Wars, Silence).
The Academy Awards will be held on the 25th of February, and the 72nd British Academy Film Awards will be held on the 10th of February.
